At the time of this town hall, the first vote on this ordinance was planned for city council consideration on June 26. This is the first of 3 public town hall meetings about the pending amendment of the Banning-Lewis Ranch annexation agreement. This agreement will govern decades of development in a massive area along the east side of the city of Colorado Springs. The developer who purchased most of the ranch has negotiated the proposed amendment. City Planning & Development Director Peter Wysocki begins the town hall with a brief presentation about the proposal.

Zach Pierce, Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal Sr. Campaign Representative, discusses the many costs that coal imposes on each resident and business in our community, in addition to providing an overview of the Sierra Club’s BEYOND COAL campaign in Colorado.
