Gary – Here’s my idea for a guest appearance that’s highly relevant for your Functional Fitness and Nutrition podcast audience: Nine Ways to Boost Your Functional Fitness. This idea comes from my recent book, Choose Better, Live Better – Nine Healthy Choices that Nurture Body, Mind, and Spirit. One of the healthy choices is what I call Eat Better. The book makes the scientific case that these simple, practical, evidence-based lifestyle choices can elevate seniors’ lives from good to great. I identified these choices following a life-threatening injury on the Pacific Crest Trail at age 66. Since my recovery, I’ve tested them under demanding conditions on more than 21,000 miles of long-distance hiking and cycling adventures. These lifestyle choices have certainly elevated my functional fitness! I’ll engage, inspire, and uplift of your podcast audience members with personal stories, brief examples of the science that illustrate the power of these healthy choices, and practical steps your audience members can take immediately to boost their functional fitness.
