I especially appreciate Mr. Hoiles’ observation that The Gazette has lost it’s way as our main local instrument of getting the news. The Gazette editorial board has only one point of view from which it never wavers. Colorado Springs’ developers and deep-pocketed owners deserve a voice, but not the only voice. The online Colorado Sun has picked up a number of the Posts’ great reporters, but it isn’t local. I wish Mr. Hoiles would revive the Colorado Springs Sun newspaper and give this community a shot at reading the whole story – perhaps in cooperation with the Indy?
Woodmen Hills is one of the worst run districts. I have asked for financials for over 5 years and the lawyer is telling the board not to cough up records. I even asked for the “employment contracts” and “agreements”. We have cop at the head of the table is stopping it. The lawyer is a shady loser and well they cooked the books and gave out 50,000 dollar bonuses to staff. We are 38,000,000.00 in debt but that ain’t all.
