Chelise Foster, a Colorado Springs native, has always been an advocate for the area’s trails and outdoor spaces. After the 2012 Waldo Canyon Fire, she launched the Waldo Waldo 5k to help with rebuild efforts. After several years of the event’s success, Chelise helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities that contributed to these continued restoration efforts. In 2019, she launched a brand-new 5k event in Garden of the Gods Park.
