I’ve been a member of PeakMed almost since it opened in 2014 and loved the freedom it gave patients to put health care back into their own hands. Must NOT overlook that PeakMed makes it a point to train their staff to handle members as their primary priority which is like the spa of primary care. My information is available to them, they follow up when it’s needed and (breathing a sigh of relief here), I don’t have to wait when I go in for my appointment, which I can schedule usually next day or even same day if it’s urgent enough. Best yet, because of this new business model, my primary care physician has all the time we need to cover the concern that brought me to the office and there’s no insurance or anything to pay for when I leave unless I require a prescription, which PeakMed keeps at a deeply discounted rate – less than ins. copays for them most of the time. I congratulate Dr. Tomasulo for braving the paradygm and getting truly affordable and available health care back into the hands of the patients. PS, this model works very well for families with children who have to see the doctor frequently for sports check ups, vaccinations, childhood ailments and accidents as you pay a flat fee and can take the kids in as often as needed with no extra fee. People with chronic conditions who require follow up care on a regular basis (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) also benefit from this hassle free model. Needless to add, I’m a very satisfied customer/member and recommend PeakMed’s team highly.
Thank you so much for your comments, Pauline! That’s wonderful!
