Regarding where CS is to get our future electricity, suggest speaking to Philip Anschutz about his upcoming mega-wind farm in Wyoming. I’m sure he would be happy to increase his stranglehold on the citizens of Colorado Springs in yet another new and “beneficial” manner. Knowing Mr. Anschutz’s fondness for long-range planning, my hunch is that this might already be in discussion. Am I wrong?
Much as I personally dislike Mr. Anschutz, environmentally-speaking this really isn’t a bad idea IF CSU is capable of negotiating with one of the biggest of the big boys to secure a really good deal for the citizens of Colorado Springs.
Thanks for the comment, Donna. We’ll have some very smart people on a panel discussing our energy future and the utilities EIRP at our first Peak Environmental Podfest, at Stargazers on Saturday, October 19 from noon to 4. Please come and offer this comment and pose the question to the panel during the audience Q&A!
