Gary, Lyn and Dee discuss politics and current events. We start with a notice of an upcoming meeting of ‘Vets Against Lamborn.’ This will be held on Thursday, July 19th @ 11:30 AM at the Hunan Springs on Kiowa Street. We cover the change in immigration regulations from colonial times to modern day. For all those people whose ancestors did it legally, it’s surprising how little was required. Sinclair media is at it again with forcing local networks to air opinion pieces on family separation. Did you know that more women die in childbirth in the US than any other industrialized nation? World wide we’re at number four. With $1.5 Trillion being cut from Medicaid and maternity becoming optional, you can expect those numbers to rise. We round out the podcast with a discussion of the Supreme Court Decisions for this term. (It’s only going to get worse.) We did find a few decisions that we actually agreed on. You need a warrant to find out cell phone locations. You need a warrant to search property, even if something is hidden by a tarp but out in the yard. And, there was the decision on internet sales tax. Surely, no one likes to pay more money. But, when a state’s main revenue is sales tax, this is a needed item. We go into great lengths on the ones we disagreed with, too.
